When Frank first arrived in Melbourne from China, he stepped off the plane with little more than determination and a dream. Despite not speaking English and facing the challenges of adapting to a new culture, Frank embraced the journey ahead with an open mind and a passionate heart.
Frank’s career in hospitality truly began at Oak Leaf Institute, where he enrolled to pursue professional training in the hospitality industry. Oak Leaf became more than just a learning center; it became the foundation for his transformation. Starting with the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Frank immersed himself in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment that fueled his passion. Despite the language barrier, he persevered by dedicating extra time to study, practicing English with classmates, and actively engaging with instructors.
Continuing his education, Frank successfully completed the Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and later earned a Diploma of Hospitality Management at Oak Leaf, dedicating two years to honing his skills and knowledge. Throughout his studies, Frank not only developed strong technical expertise but also gained confidence and a deeper commitment to the hospitality industry.
